See-through reflective optical elements with embedded wavelike films.

چکیده

The recently proposed optical elements containing semitransparent wavelike films embedded into the transparent material are investigated. Such do not distort a wave transmitted through them. Novel can be fabricated using well-known embossing methods. Their possible applications discussed. holographic used for color holography, augmented reality wearable glasses, as beam combiner head-up displays. diffuse an alternative tinted car windows, instead of mirror-glass windows in high-rise buildings, shop-windows, one-way privacy printing images on eyeglasses. scheme waveguide display with single-layer is analyzed. feasibility verified by estimation parameters and computer simulation, measurements conducted experimental specimen.
